Early June, it was sunny but not very hot, we came back to the construction sites in Nghi Son Petrochemical & Refinery project, LOGISTIC where Fuhucorp’ members working day and night to build up great constructions. There they gathered as a family and were being taken care by the cooks – who played very important role in Fuhucorp’ Construction sites.
In the kitchen in Nghi Son Industrial zone, it was easy to recognize the cooks who were working hard every day to prepare good meals for Fuhucorp’s staff. They did shift work in a team of 8 people (Ms Pham Thi Luyen was the leader) to ensure necessary services for workers at any time.
As usual, every morning, the cooks woke up early at 4.am to prepare nutritious breakfasts for workers before they stared a new working day.
For the first time, I stayed there and joined in activities of preparing breakfast for workers in site. The cooks were not so professional but they had passion with job and did it very fast, smoothly and responsibly. That workers received from cooks was not only fresh meals but also the spiritual support as from members of a family.
When the staff came back the sites for working, it was time for cooks to have their late breakfast, clean the kitchen and prepare for the lunch.
Similarly, when the staff took a short rest after lunch, it was time for the cooks to do their regular works before the dinner in which all members of Fuhucorp family gathered together for eating, talking and laughing happily.
There were days, the workers had to work very late even overnights so that they could not come back the kitchen for lunch or dinner, the cooks had to prepare shift meals and midnight snacks (milk, bread and fruits) that ensured the health of staff for hard works at the sites.
In such a way that all the cooks did, they were just considered as the warm keepers of a very special family with hundreds of members – Fuhucorp.
The cooks finished their works at 9.pm when they left the kitchen to spend a short time for their own family before the new working day.
