Unexpected inspection of the concentrated isolation area in Hanoi

On December 8, the interdepartmental inspection team led by the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health Tran Van Chung had an unexpected inspection on the organization and management of the concentrated isolation area in the area of 2 Ba Dinh and Hoan Kiem districts.

The delegation visited the Lake Side Hotel (23 Ngoc Khanh, Ba Dinh) and Muong Thanh Hotel (78 Tho Nhuom, Hoan Kiem). Currently, the number of isolated guests at Lake Side Hotel is 88 people, at Muong Thanh hotel is 103 people.

The inspection team appreciated the activeness of COVID-19 prevention and control by both hotels. These are two out of 17 hotels allowed by the City to receive and monitor expert isolation, so it requires hotel staff to strictly perform the reception and regular cleaning of the isolation area; handle waste according to regulations. In addition, the hotels have arranged executive board meeting rooms in accordance with the standards of anti-epidemic prevention. The processes of epidemic prevention and control are closed and one-way. In particular, the hotels provide meals that ensure food hygiene and safety and comply with the requirements of each concentrated isolated object.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health Tran Van Chung asked Ba Dinh and Hoan Kiem district to continue to inspect quarantined areas, strictly control transmission sources, and well manage entry cases. Manage and closely supervise those who return to the community after quarantine is also an issue that needs consideration. Cross-transmission between quarantined people and hotel staff should not occur.
